My 3rd great grandfather, John Harper, fought in the Civil War with the 28th Regiment of U.S. Colored Troops (nps.gov/civilwar/sea...). He discharged from duty on Nov. 8, 1865, in Corpus Christie, Texas. Why? “Services no longer required.” War. Was. Over. Happy Juneteenth!

I'm a proud father, husband, former public school math teacher, and Nevada Attorney General. My name is Aaron Ford, and I’m running for Governor to build a Nevada where every family in every neighborhood can get ahead.

Too many Nevadans are already struggling to make ends meet and Donald Trump is suspending SNAP. It is not only cruel, but it is illegal — and that’s why I’m taking him to court. I’m going to use every tool available to me to ensure Nevadans get their benefits.

If Lombardo prioritized our kids and guaranteed school meals, food banks wouldn’t be scrambling to feed hungry children. Guarantee school meals. End this cycle.

At a time when 1 in 4 children in Nevada don’t know where their next meal is going to come from, the Trump administration is refusing to use contingency funds to ensure Nevada families are fed. Too many Nevadans are already struggling just to get by. That’s why I’m taking Trump to court.

Health care costs have risen faster in Nevada than anywhere else in the nation. And premiums are about to skyrocket another 26% on average.  Joe Lombardo should urge Donald Trump to work with Congress to save ACA tax credits.

I’m proud to have the endorsement of End Citizens United. As Attorney General, I’ve fought tirelessly to protect the integrity of our democracy — defending Nevadans’ right to vote and taking on powerful interests that try to buy influence. As Governor, I’ll continue putting working families first.

When billionaires get the largest permanent tax break in history while working families lose Medicaid and SNAP benefits — the economy isn’t broken, it’s rigged. Nevadans deserve better.

Too many Nevadans are struggling to afford basic healthcare — and Trump’s Medicaid cuts are only going to make that problem worse. Lowering prescription drug prices to the Medicare-negotiated price for all Nevadans will be a top priority for me as Governor.

While Trump said he “couldn't care less” if his reckless tariffs raise prices on working families, Lombardo said he thinks we need to “feel a little pain” from them. Working families in Nevada can’t afford any more pain from the Lombardo-Trump economy. As Governor, I’ll prioritize lowering costs.

As a former public school teacher, I know from first-hand experience that students having access to quality meals makes all the difference. As Governor, we’re going to guarantee school meals for public school students and put money back in parents’ pockets.

Under Joe Lombardo, homelessness in Nevada is at its highest peak since the Great Recession. There are Nevadans who are having to donate their blood in order to pay their rent.  Nevadans deserve a Governor who is focused on making Nevada more affordable – and that’s what I’ll do as Governor.
