Fall has moved in early! We’re declaring summer officially over in D.C. — the earliest we’ve ever made the call. Near 80 by day, 50s–60s at night, and no heat waves in sight. 👉 www.washingtonpost.com/weather/2025...

Spring: usually showery and often gray. This year? Not so much 🌧️❌ April is slipping dry after a dry March. Moderate drought lingers in the DC area (and worsens to severe near Richmond). Rain chances ahead look meager -- maybe just a tenth or two over the next week. Details @ cwg.live

A slightly below normal Atlantic hurricane season (June 1 to Nov. 30) is forecast by CSU's Phil Klotzbach, largely because of the expected El Nino. But forecast still calls for 6 hurricanes to form, including 2 majors. Only takes 1 storm to make it a bad season for those affected.

April might skip ahead to summer next week. 🥵 80s Monday, then 90s possible Tue-Thu. That’d be the earliest 90+ since 2013. Looks like records could fall any of those three days. Wednesday most likely at present with a record of 89 and forecast low 90s. Avg first 90 in DC? May 18. Oof.
