I signed onto this discharge petition because the rich and powerful need to be held accountable. We owe the survivors, and the American people, the truth.

A permanent resident who has lived in the US for decades has been detained at the border for over a week without any explanation, which is in violation of his Constitutional rights.   These are not the actions of a healthy democracy – this is outrageous, despicable, and completely disgusting.

Happy Halloween!  Because of Trump’s economic policies, the cost of candy has risen by up to 33%.  On the other hand, the Trump family is illegally accepting billions in bribes.  In this administration, all the treats go to them and all the tricks are played on us.

Three months ago, the DHS failed to answer my questions about ICE agent misconduct. Now, I’m leading 21 members of Congress in a letter to DHS Sec. Kristi Noem demanding oversight and accountability. No one is above the law, and that includes ICE agents.

Katherine is the primary caregiver for her autistic, nonverbal daughter.  Republican cuts to health care will prevent her daughter from accessing the care she needs and force Katherine to choose between putting food on the table or paying medical bills. We must keep fighting to protect Medicaid.

Starting Nov. 1, families across OC will start to go hungry because Republicans are holding their SNAP benefits hostage.  Using hunger as a political weapon is unacceptable. It’s time for Republicans to end their vacations, get back to work, and protect the benefits families rely on to survive.

FBI and DEA Agents aren’t able to prosecute human trafficking and drug trafficking cases because Trump has them arresting people at Home Depot and car washes.  This is unacceptable and does nothing to keep us safe. I sent a letter demanding answers on this shift in personnel.
