This has been coming from the beginning. All major democracy-supporting NGOs and foundations have their legal complaints already drafted. And in time, perhaps not even much time, they will win their cases. What is needed most in the meantime is courage. Keep saying what you think, doing what you do.
“Bove stated that D.O.J. would need to consider telling the courts ‘fuck you’ and ignore any such order.” This story is just a blockbuster in every way - exposing Bove & others to both contempt and a suite of bar ethics charges. Hope to add more as time permits, but the whistleblower a hero.
I eventually found a NYT story on these protests but it was hard, def not part of their rolling front page section on the DC takeover. It's an editorial choice to keep protests less visible. It makes Trump appear stronger than he is & kneecaps the momentum opposition needs. Make a different choice.

Just listened to oral arguments on the constitutionality of the law firm EOs. The good guys will win, the 4 lower ct orders striking down the EOs will stand. Q whether the ruling will be wholly 2-1, or (in my dreams) Rao dissents separately just on scope of injunction (tho govt prob waived it). /1
Will have more to say about arguments later, but just gotta capture this exchange for the con law folks. Clement (for the firms): "I'm kind of a unitary executive guy myself." Rao: "Not anymore." Clement: (later) "There are certain things that even the unitary executive cannot do..."
