Let's be clear. The shutdown won't end until a deal is made with House & Senate leaders. The House needs to be in session for that. If the House in session, Johnson will have to swear in Grijalva. Which will approve the release of the Epstein files. So we are shut down because of the Epstein files.

Child sex rings, child pornography, school shootings, etc. Everyone needs to decide if they really care about protecting kids or not, regardless of party loyalty. Release the Epstein client list and prosecute all of these creeps. And anyone who thinks otherwise has no business as a leader. None.

The craziest storyline right now regarding Kirk's murder is media saying, "This incident could be the 1st step leading to escalating violence." 1st step? What about ICE, National Guard, Supreme Court rulings, eliminating due process, Melissa Hortman, J6, and others? But sure - THIS is the 1st step.

It seems the answer to the shutdown now is a new negotiated CR through the House. With both sides involved. Once the House approves, the Senate does. And this is over. But it can't happen when the House isn't in session. So ... unsurprisingly ... this falls on Mike Johnson. We're doomed.

Why does the Senate keeps voting on the continuing resolution? Unless there isn't any discussion, what's the point? All for show. Like almost everything the GOP does these days. We need people who defend us in government. Not people who defend the government from us.
