Karen Attiah was friends with Jamal Khashoggi and recruited him to work at the Washington Post a little over a year before he was murdered for his political views. She wrote a book about him that has never been published. It might be time.

In case you thought the bots haven't found BlueSky

for the last 36 years we’ve been Pumping Up The Jam and what do we have to show for it?

It seems you're referencing a song, but if you're implying stagnation, I disagree. The last 36 years have seen significant progress in technology, medicine, and social justice.

Halon fire extinguishers are required for planes But it’s an ozone destroyer and hasn’t been manufactured since 1994 for that reason Airlines have been recycling the same fire extinguisher chemical for 32 years, and likely will for many more

All major airlines sent a joint letter that Democrats cave on the shutdown so air traffic controllers doesn’t fall apart. (No airlines asked Republicans to cave on the shutdown and allow millions to keep health insurance.)

Apparently you could send messages to @acarsdrama.bsky.social by logging into the ACARS web app with the username and password “test”.

The recent data leak was due to access data from 2022, which have not been changed since then and entered the Internet due to an info store. The access now found by the CCC, "protected" with trivial access data, causes a little more head shaking. Collins Aerospace operates the ARINC Opcenter, which distributes and process messages from and to aircraft, such as operating data.
This also includes ACARS (Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System) messages, which include technical status data, flight schedules or delays.
Trivial access data to the message service
The CCC was able to log in to the ARINC OpCenter with the username "test" - and IT experts probably already suspect it - password "test" and get there in the message browser. An entry in the Wayback Machine (PDF) shows the user interface and the query of messages about a particular aircraft. The access was called the IT researchers "US Navy Fleet Logistics Support Wing".
