Charlie's Restaurant Grapefruit Burger (1988-1988): An unpeeled grapefruit on a burger roll. Round and tasty on a bun, pickles, french fries, yum-yum-yum. In a hurry to be fed, beady eyes and big, blue head.

Beverly (1969-2009): An intensely bitter before-dinner drink from Coca-Cola, it was made with grapefruit rind. Primarily sold in Italy, it developed a cult following in the U.S. Can still be found on tap at the Coca-Cola museums and EPCOT in Disney World.

Disney World Animal Poop Candy (2015-2015): Chocolate confections sold at Zuri's Sweets in Disney's Animal Kingdom, made to realistically resemble the feces of elephants, cotton-top tamarins, giraffes, and hippos

A #Muppets themed egg, made completely out of chocolate!

Rugrats Peanut Butter & Jelly Ice Cream Sandwich (1997-circa 1999): Peanut butter ice cream with a thin layer of fruity/berry jelly in the middle, sandwiched between two soft cookie wafers, and complete with Rugrats/Nickelodeon branding

Keebler Cheez 'n Chips (1987-1989): Light, round, crispy, cheese-flavored corn chips, available in Cheddar or Nacho. Keebler boasted that they were made with "real cheese and authentic nacho spices" and that they were "chock full of chunky cheese taste"

Hershey’s Snack Barz (2004-circa 2009): A line of snack bars (z) that consisted of rice krispie treat-type cereal bars, each with a filling and coating based on a Hershey's candy bar. The "original" is pictured here, with a milk chocolate creme filling and coating. See 🧵for more!

Hanah Teter’s Maple Blondie (2009-2010): Maple ice cream loaded with chunks of blondie brownies and a maple-caramel swirl. Released to honor the blonde Olympic gold medal snowboarder and fellow Vermont native, hence the name. Released as "Maple Tree Hugger" in the UK in 2013

It's no coincidence that perhaps the worst era in discontinued food history lines up perfectly with the exact window in time when "She's So High" by Tal Bachman was popular...really makes you think
