UNC's 2-day conference on #AI later this week includes one (1) (uno) panel on ethics. Nevermind that the conference site depicts a dystopia. Of the 4 panelists, one runs an AI-based company advising companies about AI. Another works on preparing humans for extinction. I'm not making this up.

I have the privilege of leading a group of UNC law students to Heart Mountain in Wyoming over fall break. We're looking at roles lawyers played in the WWII imprisonment of Japanese Americans. I can't describe the impact on the students of being where it happened. Huge. #academicsky #skystorians
