Illinois is launching a first-of-its-kind legal hotline for LGBTQ+ individuals — Illinois Pride Connect. As the only state in the nation that will provide free legal advice to protect the LGBTQ+ community, we'll help fight ignorance with information and cruelty with compassion.

I am aware of reports that threats were made against Texas elected officials in our state. Threats of violence will be investigated and those responsible will be held accountable. I have instructed @ilstatepolice.bsky.social to ensure we maintain public safety.

In response to the severe flooding in Texas, Illinois has deployed a team of urban search and rescue members to the state to assist in its ongoing recovery efforts. When folks are in need, our state will be there to help.
