Open enrollment for healthcare.gov starts tomorrow, and some Granite Staters will see prices rise by more than $1,000/month. Today at White Mountain Community Health Center, I heard from health leaders about how this surge in premiums hurts families.

Illegally moving special education to the Department of Health and Human Services takes us back to a time when people with disabilities were treated as patients and second-class citizens - rather than individuals seeking equal opportunity for learning and independence.

Ensuring that every child gets a great public education is critical for future success – which is why the Administration’s cuts to special education supports are catastrophic. I was grateful to hear from NH families and leaders working to support students with disabilities today.

Granite State families are already dealing with rising costs everywhere they turn. The last thing they need is for their health insurance premiums to double. We need Republicans to work with us to reopen the government and protect affordable health care.
