This is a great thread. I'm sure that we'll hear any minute now from the people who screamed "lawfare" when a special counsel obtained indictments against Trump based on mounds of evidence that he had violated federal laws (including through an effort to overturn an election).

Once again, I find myself recalling the first line of Justice Thomas's concurrence in Trump v. United States.

I'm especially interested in seeing it bc, based on another mtn that Trump filed earlier in the case (www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/26...) it sounds like he argues that the principles of Trump v. U.S. should enable him to revive civil suits that he was too busy to file while President!
