The only payphone I've found within the City of Detroit. But I've not given up. It has many obvious issues, starting with its wires being cut. Near the border with Canada, phone's now useless coin slot says "U.S. Coins Only". (Hasselblad SWC, Zeiss 38mm f4.5 Biogon, Kodak TriX)

A very dilapidated phone kiosk at the bottom of a cement column supporting an overhead train, the structure of which snakes off into the distance. The wires to the phone are obviously cut at the top of a pole. A Pepsi can rests in teh kiosk. Behind is a sign read: $10 Park Here. There ware several office buildings plus the side facade of a brick building that houses the Detroit Club. There are reflections on it from a mirrored glass building somewhere out of the frame.

One of the last low phone kiosks on Quebec Autoroute 20 between Quebec City & Montreal. They allow drivers to chat from the comfort of their cars. Something changed. It is now so low that only a child in a pedal car or an F1 driver could use it. (Shen Hao FCL810AC, 180mmf8 Super Angulon, TXP320)

A phone kiosk which is just barely off the ground. Two bent pipes flank it as protection. A tree is immediately behind and an extra tall kiosk for truckers is in the distance.

A super tall payphone kiosk for truck drivers on Quebec Autoroute 20 between Quebec City and Montreal. It is part of an endangered species. The small rest stops are being replaced. All of them in the eastbound side are closed, their phones gone. (Shen Hao FCL810AC, 450mmf9 Nikkor M, KodakTXP320)

A Télébec payphone kiosk about two metres tall sits next to a rest area road. Steel pipes on either side guard it from motorists. A highway and a line of trees is in the distance.

A blank wall with conduit that ends with some coiled up wires on its surface. A large box sits on teh ceiling and a stainless steel doorway is marked as the exit.

No, I have no idea how those Canada flags landed in that dumpster. I just walked past them. Bank Street and Riverdale Avenue, Ottawa. (Leica M2, 35mm f2 Summicron v2, Kodak Portra 400)

An overly full red dumpster from a company called Tomlinson has two Canada flags sitting on top. It's within a dilapidated wooden enclosure the door of which is swung open. Recycling bins and a pile of car tires are beside it. A modern square house is further back.

A shopping arcade in Oslo. (Mamiya 7ii, 43mm f4.5, Kodak Tri-X)

A long shopig arcade with netting, presumably to keep birds out, is at the left. At the right is a brightly lit window of an otherwise dark shop. A child sized mannequin is wearing a white, hooded bath robe. There are many pillows and a round basket with cat ears.

While Streetview showed a payphone in Oslo's train station, it was gone when I went to photograph it. There would have been some once in this building. It's now a restaurant. Behind is something else that's also now rare: a large, apparently thriving dept. store. (Mamiya 7ii, 43mmf4.5, Kodak TriX)

A night photo of a backlit sign with with words TELEGRAF TELEFON cut out of metal. Behind is large, building with brightly lit windows. Its signs read Steen & Strom Magasin
