Sir William Petty, wrote “Political Arithmetic” during the 1670s, published in 1690. New? His insistence that empirical data must be the foundation for policy-making. Trump’s firing of the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics goes against three and a half centuries of this practice #Skystorians

I made a collegiate career of scaffolding reading skills. Prior to AI, many students arrived unable to “interpret,” unsure of their own abilities and voice. AI fills that void, that search for the instant “right” answer, though, inhibits deep thought and their humanity #sigh #AI

Thinking : all these unqualified nimrods put into posts - and the only justification that I can think of is that they do not need to be qualified since the same people who back Trump are the same folks who force-feed AI upon us all. They’ll just follow whatever the machine says to. God save us all.

The species, Homo sapiens, is like any other in that it will find its environmental niche, grow, but then grow some more. Eventually, that habitat will be taxed beyond repair and can no longer support the niche and the whole thing collapses. How Malthusian!
