I often think of Wendell Berry's great poem "The Peace of Wild Things," and I have a fruitful little quarrel with it: while his poem moves away from humanity for respite, I feel drawn toward us, despite everything, because of everything. I offer this little meditation to you.

May this find someone who needs it. 🕯️

The greatest revolution will come when we demand that the "value" of a human life is not in what it produces but in the sacred, messy mystery of its process of becoming what it is.
