Omg I'm crying My local game store knows I can't attend events right now thanks to chemo, so they set aside a Star Wars Unlimited prerelease kit for me from the most recent set But I didn't realize they had also paid for it for me 😭❤️

I had a long call with my dad this afternoon (he knows a lot more about our family history than I do, him being Mormon & all), and apparently I do have Scottish heritage in a couple different family lines. I tie back to the Monteiths directly, and there's a strong chance I'm also a McCallum.

Going to Utah's Scottish Fest with some friends today, and I ironed the pleats in my kilt. Please clap

Also included in this is video games, bullet journaling, art, cooking, and exercise. Those are all hobbies I already have and are far too productive for what I'm looking for

Basically I want a wasteful pastime. The more pointless the better. Just this once let me be a drain on society

Starting to think that the term "hobby" implies a casual productivity of sorts, and maybe what I'm actually looking for is something else that doesn't involve producing something of value. A pastime maybe? Idk I just want something I can enjoy and be lazy about

I need more hobbies that don't involve me proving some kind of productivity quota to myself

Man, I should really get a PS5 so I can replay those games. Horizon Zero Dawn & Forbidden West were some of the most fun I've had gaming in a long time
