I've been using Bluesky to vent since every day we're hit with crazy, horrifying news. But the crazy continues, and venting doesn't help. Between outraged commentary and cat pics lies more healing content that gets lost because it's not catchy. So if you see posts like that, like and share them.
You wouldn't feel guilty about running from a bear and denying them the choice to eat you. So don't feel guilty about running from a family member and denying them the choice to abuse you. Going "no contact" is hard, but you have every right to safeguard your wellbeing from those who can't.
I get that we should listen to doctors over online misinformation, but... 1) I've watched doctors and nurses look up my symptoms on the internet during an exam. 2) I've corrected doctors and nurses with information I learned online (e.g., side effects, black box warnings). They aren't gods.

With the crackdown on data that reveals the failures of this regime, will we know how many die of hunger this November? Let's say hypothetically that the right was correct in its characterizations of the poor, depicting them as lazy. No one deserves a death sentence for being lazy.
