It was such a delight to participate in the Rule of Law Summit hosted by the Society for the Rule of Law. Jonathan Rauch, Greg Jacob, and I spoke about norms, customs, and the founding, and the conversation was moderated by Jay Nordlinger. I was honored to share a stage with them.
Last week, I had the privilege of visiting the Truman Presidential Library. I gave a talk on The Cabinet and spoke the next morning for teachers about the foundations of the republic in Washington and Adamsās administrations. Teachers+books+the material culture of oval offices= a winning trip.
