I know that media use the term "big beautiful bill" in quotes but it's unfortunate that this many years into covering this president we are still suckered into leading with his language and framing when covering such consequential stories

I personally love when people respond to reporting or news content with "you're just now discovering this?" It's brings me peace to know that there are problems not worth talking about anymore because some people have achieved a special form of enlightenment 🙏

Really great summary of the meltdown at FEMA and the sorry state of the agency as we enter into hurricane/wildfire season: “It could take a decade to fix what they broke,” a high-ranking FEMA official said. “And if we have a major disaster this year, we’re screwed.”
