2017: a middle aged man with no criminal history brings an arsenal to a hotel room in Vegas, opens fire on a music festival below, killing 60, and wounding hundreds before killing himself, the worst mass shooting in US history, and to this day nobody has any idea why he did it.

During the RFK Jr hearing Sen Daines referenced a study showing that mifepristone is much more dangerous than the FDA has said. As per usual, it turns out to be a study that a) was done by an anti-abortion group, and b) was widely reported in right wing media but ignored elsewhere.

You’ve probably heard about AJ Alito’s dissent in the abortion drug case — he would have lifted the stay, leaving a *nationwide ban* on getting it via telemedicine — because… abortions are illegal in Louisiana. But AJ Thomas’s is even more draconian.

So @chrislhayes.bsky.social started his show the last two nights with the President’s $10B suit against the IRS for the release of his tax returns by a contractor. One detail that had flashed by in my feed that he didn’t mention: that contractor released lots of other people’s returns, too.

It is utterly brilliant, and I, too, mourn its loss.

Today, the Sen. Homeland Security and Government Affairs committee held a hearing with a CIA "whistleblower" who accuses the Fed Government (which, we note, was led by President Trump at the time) of covering up the origins/effects of COVID. No Dem Senator attended. www.c-span.org/program/sena...

Just to note: this is both a good piece of analytical journalism and an elegant solution to a problem: if the President is posting nutty stuff every day, how is any given post "news?" Danielle (as the WSJ also did, to IMO less effect) decided to look at the trends/obsessions as a whole.
