Survivors of Epstein’s abuse deserve transparency, accountability, & healing. That’s why I signed a discharge petition to force a vote on the House floor to release all the files. And we won’t stop our push for a full, public Congressional hearing to ensure survivors are heard.
Today, we heard harrowing stories from survivors of Epstein's abuse. Epstein is dead, but the hurt & harm he caused is alive and well. We'll keep pushing for accountability, including a public Congressional hearing with survivors and the release of the full Epstein files.
UPDATE: House Oversight is convening a private roundtable with survivors of Epstein’s abuse. This is a testament to our pressure. I look forward to hearing from survivors & won't stop pushing for a full, public hearing so their stories are documented in the Congressional Record.

I'm grateful for our Boston-based Black & brown creators. I've always been a firm believer that art & politics are deeply interconnected. And that's because our creators have the power to help uplift the issues we fight for, why justice matters, spark empathy & more.
Emmanuel Damas' death was entirely preventable. He died from sepsis. That started as a tooth infection while under ICE detainment. I’m urging DHS for a full investigation into his passing, and demanding proper medical care for all who remain behind the walls of these inhumane detention centers.
Sojourner Truth's fearless, courageous, & visionary spirit lives through our work. I was proud to moderate a Sojourner Truth Legacy Project panel of Black women to engage on issues like the pushout of Black women from the workforce & how to harness our power to better our communities.
The Trump Administration has failed to provide an evacuation plan for American citizens abroad. That's why we're urging the State Department to take immediate action to support the evacuations of American citizens & provide protection for embassy personnel throughout the Middle East.
When a nation loses care & concern for children, a nation becomes irredeemable. Small men wage endless wars because they are looking to profit, while it costs innocent lives. We will not tolerate Trump's callous disregard for human life. The war in Iran must come to an end NOW.
I just voted YES on the War Powers Resolution because we must stop Trump’s war in Iran. Only Congress can authorize a war. Trump is rogue and reckless. He is acting with complete disregard for the lives of our service members and Iranian civilians and he must be stopped.
Goodbye and good riddance. But don’t take the bait. Firing Noem alone won’t halt Trump’s campaign of terror. The atrocities happening by ICE behind the walls of detention facilities and in broad daylight have proven that ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE NOW.
Horrified by the death of our Massachusetts neighbor Emmanuel Damas in ICE custody. He was denied medical care for months. I’m sending his family my deepest condolences. A family who has been robbed of their brother & son. Emmanuel is at least the tenth person to die in ICE custody this year.
