@marcelias.bsky.social asked me why I keep going, why I am not capitulating. My answer is simple: the people I represent. Love for my neighbors. The future I want for my nine-year-old daughter.  I would not be comfortable staying out of this fight.

💵Grant Alert! 💵 In NJ-10, we’re expanding innovative treatments to support families impacted by cancer. I’m happy to announce a $975,000 grant for Rutgers University toward cancer treatment research.

In honor of my predecessor, Donald Payne Jr., I was honored to advocate for prevention, education, and early detection as Colon Cancer Awareness Month wrapped up. Rep. Payne championed screening and prevention for all, and I am committed to carrying that legacy forward.

Trump is planning to take the lives of millions of innocent civilians in his reckless war of choice.  Republicans need to put the humanity of others over their allegiance to this maniac and join Democrats to put a stop to this evil.

This case isn’t just about me. It’s Trump’s test of whether he can use prosecution as a way to threaten members of Congress, regardless of party. That’s why I can’t back down—because if this administration silences me first, they’re coming after my colleagues and community next.

Fighting this case has been difficult, no doubt about it, but I will not back down and I won’t let it keep me from doing the job I was elected to do: protecting people.
