Plug-in solar allows people — renters and homeowners — to plug in a small, low-cost solar device, generate electricity, and lower their electric bills. My legislation to make it dramatically easier for people to install plug-in solar is on the Governor’s desk.

PG&E demanded it not be liable for causing wildfires. The Legislature did not agree. PG&E’s response: Punishment by extending already ridiculous timelines to hook up new housing and clean energy to the grid. It’s straight up extortion. 🧵

The Senate just voted to give final sign off to place our science bond on the March 2028 ballot. It now heads to the Governor. GO SCIENCE!

BIG SCIENCE NEWS: Our bill authorizing a $7.5B science bond passed the Assembly. It heads back to the Senate for a final vote today. As Trump tears apart federal science investment, CA must triple down as global science leader. SB 895 — sending the bond to the March 2028 ballot — is a huge step.

The regime is taking a wrecking ball to science. It’s fueling a brain drain of scientists that, if not reversed, will do severe, long-term harm to our country. We must reverse course. And CA must lead — which we’re doing with the science bond I’m authoring and we’re poised to place on the ballot.

Whether the result of dementia or fascism, this is beyond dangerous and Trump must be removed from office.
