Alert and Ready

This is for all the people who think we just have to wait until the next election to fix. If we don’t fight like hell right now, there will not be another election. Most of us here get that, but some of our friends and family might not.

Exactly.

I can’t wait until we are looking back horrified that we ever lived in this world and hold every emboldened fascist and racist accountable for their behavior during this time.

I am reposting this so we remember we aren’t dealing with the brightest bulbs. They will keep all recruits soon enough regardless of their open book test scores. There are way more of us, we are ideologically unified against fascism and cruelty, and, I bet we could all pass an open book civics test.

This is a master class in how it’s done. Respect.✊

In case there ever comes a time when this is all over that you are inclined to offer grace to ICE workers suffering the consequences of their decisions, remember situations like this. And zip tying children. And ripping people from their homes and cars. And worse.

I used to think the whole thing about learning history lest we be forced to repeat it was entirely unnecessary after learning about the horrors of Nazi Germany, but clearly I lacked enough imagination. Since we are repeating it, at least we can review their play book. It’s all there.

Yes. I expect things will continue to escalate significantly. Prepare physically with needed supplies and weapons and psychologically for things to get extremely ugly before the tide finally turns toward good. It is awful, but it is where we are. And remember are still many more of us.

I respect her so much. She needs to be protected and undoubtedly knows and is taking to do so. As things escalate, it will get more frightening to resist, but we have much more people and there is power in numbers. Thank you Senator Ortiz.

😂🤣😂 It’s funny because it is so pathetic and Portland won’t play into his hands. Expect instigators. Don’t give them fuel, just peaceful resistance. He’ll go onto the next city if he doesn’t get the violent footage he wants. And then the people of that city or cities will do the right thing.

Of course they do, if you believe in facts. We should always present the facts even while knowing his supporters have never cared about facts, at least not yet. If we keep shining a light on actual facts, those who do peel off of the cult will hopefully find them and it will fortify their decision.

I agree. That and so many other things he did should have been dealbreakers.

I have faith that the people of Portland will remain peaceful and not give him the videos of violent protesters that he so desperately wants. Portland, you’ve got this. Just understand the game that is being played and remain peaceful at all costs.
