Firing Dowd for merely observing that Charlie Kirk was a divisive figure who pushed hate and created dangerous conditions is to fire a commentator for stating the obvious and speaking the truth. Shameful.

So, he hates immigrants, hates Black and brown people, and now we find he hates the elderly. What a charming man this Stephen Miller is! So glad he’s effectively running our country!

Those of us who study authoritarian societies understand well how political violence gets used. The leaders' rhetoric stokes fear & division, while the state increasing violence suppression. Any act of violence against the state or its supporters becomes a justification for additional state violence

It’s astounding how in country after country, the strategy of appeasing the far right ends up bolstering their position. And yet center and left parties keep repeating this failed strategy rather than pushing back against reprehensible positions and standing for progressive principles.

Why does the media constantly report Trump's pronouncements as though they matter? He gives an endless, rambling, incoherent speech and they dutifully pull out the one potentially appealing thing: $500 checks! $5K checks! Even though they will never happen, because Trump never follows through.

I listen to podcasts as I bike into work. A couple of my regulars have ended. So, I’m looking for recommendations for podcasts: public affairs, arts, international affairs. Prefer smart well informed people I can learn from not just opinion. Hour length max.

I’m all for the Trumpapalooza! I hope Trump keeps traveling around the country and reminding people how much they hate him. The more exposure to Trump, the more Democrats win!

As the parent of two teenagers, I’m all for cellphone bans in schools. But is it really necessary that this be a state law? Not every problem requires legislation. School districts are perfectly capable of adopting their own policies.

So, is Trump still a brunette today?
