"Jose" sent this video from Madera CA where he works irrigating almond trees. "I work a 9 hr day Monday through Friday, from 5am to 2: 30pm. I earn CA min. wages. The hardest part is the heat. Temps often reach 100° while I am working and the heat drains me." #WeFeedYou

"Esperanza" shares, "Today we started planting broccoli at 3am. Planting is one of the most exhausting jobs, we must start early and we spend our work hours bent over, making sure we're planting the seedlings properly. Sometimes I get dizzy from bending over so much." #WeFeedYou

It was 98° in McFarland CA as "Maria" pushed a wheeled cart down the rows, filling the 4 plastic tubs with bunches of grapes. Each filled tub weighs around 25 lbs. She then rolls the approximately 100lb cart to the packing station at the end of the row. #WeFeedYou

"Saul" is thinning Fuji apples in WAs Yakima Valley. This is done to create space for the apples to grow big and increases the yield. "I work 7-8 hrs/day at min wage. This low pay doesn't always cover my expenses, w/o a Union contract, if I speak up, I risk my job." #WeFeedYou

"Susana" is picking tomatoes in Planada CA. She's paid 85 cents per 25lb bucket "We start at 5:30 am so we could finish by 12 noon when temperatures hit 100° or more. If we work really fast we can make 170 buckets in a day. It's really hard to work fast in this heat." #WeFeedYou

"Olivia" sent us this photo from Maricopa CA. "We're working in the table grapes in 95° weather. The high today is supposed to reach 103° F. This is hard work - especially in this high heat. When we're harvesting under the grapevines it feels even hotter." #WeFeedYou
